Meet The Coach
DJ Graham
DJ Graham founded Graham Hockey Skills & Development in 2019.
Graham spent much of his youth in Chicago before moving to Tampa, FL for his high school years. After a successful playing career Graham began his coaching career in 2012 with the Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hockey program. He began a five-year stint with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2012 as a member of the ice crew. During his time as a member of the organization he worked his way up to Zamboni driver, which he held until 2017.
In 2013 a successful year was on the horizon as Graham founded Elite Performance Hockey Training. He also joined the coaching staffs of the J.W. Mitchell Mustangs and the Tampa Bay Scorpions U16AA. The Mustangs season ended with a loss in the State Championship, but the Scorpions went on to win the State, International Silver Sticks, and the Tier II National Championship.
In 2017 Graham was an integral part in the opening of AdventHealth Center Ice in Wesley Chapel, FL. During that time he earned his certificate as a National Hockey Director at the North American Rink Conference & Expo.
Graham left the Lightning and AdventHealth Center Ice in 2017 to join the Dallas Stars as an Operations Manager. He remained there until 2019.
Graham began coaching in Texas as a member of the Dallas Stars Youth Hockey Program. In 2018 he joined the Plano East Panthers as an assistant coach for varsity and junior varsity. After the season he left to join the Coppell Cowboys. The Cowboys had back to back banner season winning a AT&T High School Championship in 2020 as well as 2 State Championships in 2020 & 2021.
Graham currently resides in Irving Texas with his two dogs Tigger and Bella.
